What we do
We explain how security products work, what they include and what independent labs and regulators have said about them, and we set out the questions worth asking before you buy. We also publish free, non-commercial guides such as our online security checklist and how to spot phishing.
How the site is funded
The site is funded by affiliate commissions. Some pages contain partner links, always labelled “Partner link”. If you buy a product after clicking one, the advertiser pays us a commission. You pay the normal price.
We do not sell advertising space that looks like editorial content, we do not accept payment for positive coverage, and advertisers do not review our articles before publication. Read our full editorial policy.
What we do not do
- We do not publish invented testimonials, “reader stories”, star ratings or scores.
- We do not use countdown timers, fake scarcity or other artificial urgency.
